COUNCIL NEWS
With the adoption of the 2011-2012 City Budget in November, Seattle Department
of Neighborhoods (DON) has made changes to programs and services - the
Neighborhood District Coordinators Program and the Neighborhood Service
Centers (NSCs).
Six Neighborhood Service Centers closed Dec. 30, 2010, and three Neighborhood
District Coordinator positions were cut effective Jan. 4, 2011. The Greenwood
Neighborhood Service Center closed effective January 1. Neighborhood District
Coordinator Rob Mattson now serves NW District Council, and can be reached
at (206)684-4051, Ballard Neighborhood Service Center - 5604 22Ave NW,

CITY
HALL OPEN HOUSE 10AM- 2PM SAT
Sally Bagshaw reminds us of the City Council and Mayor Mike Mcginn's City
Council Open House on Sat Jan 28.
"I invite you to visit your City Hall. Enjoy local music and food, learn
about resources the City provides, meet me, my colleagues, and other local
elected officials, and connect with neighbors from around the City," Sally
said in her email.
The day also includes tours of the Mayor's Office and City Council Offices, a Q&A session with the Mayor, workshops, and more! City Council is located at 601 5th Ave, Seattle, WA 98104.

FOR ALL MTG RESCHEDULED
Previously planned for Jan 18th, but cancelled because of snow, the meeting
that was to be held at the Ballard Branch Library has been rescheduled
for Sat Jan 28th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., at Northeast Branch, 6801 35th
Ave. N.E.
